From the Bowie Co. Sheriff's office:

BOWIE COUNTY (KYTX) - On March 11, 2014 the Bowie County Sheriff's Office responded to a call of a local business owner following a white male and white female who had attempted to pass a counterfeit hundred dollar bill at his business on Hwy 59 South.

The business owner followed the vehicle into Nash. There the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of a business as Nash Police Lieutenant Keith Chesnutt approached them.

The female passenger exited the vehicle and fled into the store, but she was detained by Investigator Will Buttram when she exited.

Deputies then discovered the female had attempted to discard several counterfeit hundred dollar bills by flushing them down the toilet and by putting some in the bathroom trash can.

Both were arrested for Forgery and booked into the Bi-State Jail.

They were identified as 49 year old Shelley Samansky and 54 year old Kenneth Samansky both of Denton, TX. Deputies recovered approximately (27) counterfeit hundred dollar bills from the couple during the investigation, which is ongoing.
