UPDATE: The Rains County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from Rains County Road 2130 advising that a teenager had been accidentally shot in the head.

The shooting happened in a bedroom, while the father was in the kitchen of the residence.

A 13 y/o male was hit in the head after a 15 y/o pulled the trigger of a 12 gauge shotgun not realizing that it was loaded. This case appears to have been an accident but it will be investigated thoroughly.

Both teens are students of the Rains Jr High and are very well liked by other students. Any additional information will be forwarded as released.
