UPDATE: WHITEHOUSE (KYTX) - A preliminary autopsy on the body of a male found behind a Whitehouse business has been returned, but according to Smith County Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3 James Meredith, authorities are awaiting more conclusive evidence before an ID can be made.

Judge Meredith tells CBS 19, forensics has been sent dental records from a family in Whitehosuse, and Smith County authorities are awaiting toxicology and histology tissue test.

The badly decomposed body was discovered Monday by employees of Nipper's Quality Auto Works at 14969 highway 110 in Whitehouse. The body was located behind the auto shop.

Smith Co. Sheriff Larry Smith says there were no indications at the scene of a struggle or other evidence to indicate foul play.

An identification could be made today or tomorrow.

A relative of Jacob's posted this quote to Facebook: "I can't say much, it could be Friday before we get a Positive ID. We are not replying to questions at this time cause we can't. We just want to say to everyone THANK YOU!! For the prays, support and all the help. We are truly blessed by you kindness. Please continue in Pray and share this so all others that we aren't FB friends can know we appreciate them and their prays as well! Again thank you!!! "

And there is an unspoken question on everyone's minds tonight.

Was this the young man they've been looking for almost a month.

Sheriff Smith says, they know it's a white male, and that's about it.

But of course, everyone is wondering about the Whitehouse 14-year-old, Jacob Garrett, who went missing 3 weeks ago.

But the Sheriff won't speculate.

One other question was on our minds.

Larry Smith told us the cold weather helped hide the odor that would have ordinarily been extreme.
