UPDATE: HARRISON CO. (KYTX)- The sheriff says they spent 15 hours interviewing the boyfriend and allowing family members from both sides to encourage him to cooperate.

That ultimately led to his confession and leading investigators to the body. They believe the couple got into an argument that escalated and ended near where she was found.

The sheriff's office believes she was killed there.

HARRISON CO. (KYTX) - Rodris Webster was booked into the Harrison County Jail Wednesday on a charge of murder relating to the death of Alicia Benefield and a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

Bonds have been set by Judge Mike Smith at $1,000,000 on the murder and $15,000 for the felon in possession of a weapon.

On March 18 at approximately 10:20 PM, the Harrison County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney Coke Solomon's office recovered the body of Benefield after alleged suspect Rodris Webster led investigators to that location.

The location where Alicia Benefield's body is near the intersection of FM 31 and Elysian Fields Rd in Marshall, Texas. The site is still under investigation as an active crime scene. Ms. Benefield's body has been sent, by order of Judge Nancy George to the North Louisiana Crime lab for a forensic autopsy.

This isn't Webster's first run in with the law.  He was arrested in January on an aggravated assault charge after he allegedly beat up and threatened Benefield with a knife. Earlier this month, she dropped the charges and Webster was released from custody on March 5th. Benefield was last seen leaving Webster's house, early Friday morning after police broke up a party there.
