We live in the South, so some of us may have a Southern accent, but would you consider saying "goodbye" to "howdy, y'all"?
The Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee was going to offer a speech class for it's workers next month to do just that, until it got canceled.

Parenting first aid and CPR classes now available for older children and adults.

Toronto, ONT, Canada – March 19, 2014 /MarketersMedia/ —

The Heart And Stroke Foundation of Canada has established that the teaching of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and training in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED) will save lives of all ages from the leading cause of death in the country today. The Heart And Stroke Foundation states, “Knowing how to respond to a cardiac emergency can increase a person’s odds of survival and recovery in situations by 30% or more.” The training to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, combined with the latest in first aid techniques is deemed even more important for parents and those who work with children.” The website Kidshealth.org further reports, “Every parent should know how and when to administer CPR. CPR can save a child’s life until advanced life support can be given by health care providers either on the scene or in an emergency room setting.”

To meet this demand to train parents and teachers of children how to save lives in such an emergency, Synergy Employment Services offers Toronto first aid and CPR courses to the general public. Kapil Gupta, Spokesperson for Synergy describes their mission, “Synergy has been providing health care, safety and wellness solutions in Toronto since the year 2003. As a company, Synergy has been highly regarded and recognized for our innovations in the field of health care teaching. Currently we provide over 10 000 Mask Fit Tests across Ontario yearly and we continue our commitment as proud national Canadian Red Cross Training Partners. Our clients include universities, colleges, school boards (York, McMaster, Georgian, Nipissing, Toronto District School Board, Thames Valley District School Board) and countless health care organizations”.

Gupta stresses the importance of knowing First Aid and Toronto CPR training designed especially for children in the infant to toddler stage. “Parenting First Aid and CPR 101 has become one of our most popular courses. We offer our classes at any location where parents are interested in learning these necessary life saving skills. Our instructors have taught at schools, daycare centers, community centers, churches and workplaces.” Kapil Gupta further stresses the variety of first aid skills that can be taught within even a single session. “This non-certification course will highlight key
procedures, maneuvers, misconceptions and general safe parenting practices in a fun, engaging and informative session.”

Kapil Gupta wants those seeking to learn or brush up on their health training for older children and adults to also take advantage of the many courses Synergy has to offer. “Our First Aid and CPR courses Toronto allow residents and the general public to enroll for training at our Toronto Training Center providing comprehensive training with our team of highly trained instructors. Participants who complete their courses will receive a Canadian Red Cross laminated certification card and leave having a much better understanding of First Aid and CPR techniques and standards. The dedication of our instructors and affordable pricing has made Synergy the CPR Training headquarters of the City of Toronto. ”
