Avoid eating certain products from Parkers Farm

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - The Minnesota Department of Agriculture is asking consumers to avoid eating certain products from Parkers Farm.

State investigators found some of their items were contaminated with listeria. So far no illnesses have been reported but the department issued an alert to avoid 15 products ranging from spreads, salsa dips and peanut butter.

Parkers Farm posted a letter to customers online. In it the company wrote, "This action is being taken as a precaution in response to testing conducted by the state of Minnesota."

The products are sold in major chain stores including Costco, Cub Foods, Rainbow and Target--under various labels.

The Department of Ag says they are still investigating this contamination. In the meantime, if you have these products, you can return them to the store for a full refund.
