Tyler ISD confirms bad weather make up days

Posted: Updated:

From Tyler ISD:

TYLER (KYTX) - Tyler ISD staff, teachers and students will use the District's bad weather make up dates of Friday, April 18 and Friday, June 6 as stated in the district calendar to make up for the days missed March 3 and March 4 due to inclement weather.

Teachers and staff will report for their staff/clerical day Monday, June 9 as planned.

The Texas Education Agency mandates that school districts and charters must build two makeup days for school closures into their adopted school calendar.

If dates for the designated makeup days have already passed, schools are still required to make up at least two of the scheduled instructional days lost. The makeup day must be at least seven hours in length (including intermissions and recess).
