UPDATE: No report of shooting near ETX college campus

UPDATE: Athens Police tell us there was no shooting near the Trinity Valley Community College Thursday night. Golf clubs were used to shatter two windows in a home on Penny Lane.

A caller told police he saw two young white men running into the woods after hearing the loud noises. A short time later, Athens Police found the two teens. The teens are also believed to be responsible for other crimes in the same neighborhood.

The lockdown at Trinity Valley was lifted once the suspects were caught.  

 

  

 

ATHENS (KYTX) -- Trinity Valley Community College in Athens says two suspects have been caught after a shooting Thursday night. According to the university's website it happened around 7:30 p.m. south of the campus and two men were seen running from the scene.

Students were told to stay indoors and the men were caught shortly after 8 p.m. There is no word on injuries and the college says no students were involved in the incident.
