LeTourneau Invites Community for Group Prayer

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - RELEASED BY LETU.

LeTourneau University students, led by sophomore engineering major Immanuel Phiri of Zambia, Africa, are inviting the public to join university students, faculty and staff in 30 minutes of prayer in the third annual "Pray the Loop" event on campus at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 4. The event is designed to unite people in prayer around the university's campus loop.

"This year, just as in years past, we hope to unite the school and community," Phiri said.  "We are a diverse group of people, but we can be united with our faith.  It would be awesome to see this diverse school unite as one and pray for the good of the school. There is power in prayer.  Coming together as a group shows how much we want to see God's glory and growth in this community and on this campus." - LETU President Dr. Dale A. Lunsford applauds the initiative of these students.

"This Pray the Loop event is a great example of how our students seek God's direction for themselves and for their university," Lunsford said.  "We hope community members who support the university will feel welcome to come participate with us. It is especially gratifying that this event will focus on our founder's life verse during our homecoming weekend when so many will be back on campus."

LETU's homecoming weekend is April 4-6.
