Library's "Celebrate Authors" FestivalFeatures Authors, Workshops, Book Fair, More

LONGVIEW (KYTX) -  The Longview Public Library invites the public to meet several published authors as part of the "Celebrate Authors" festival. The event will feature approximately 35 authors.

Activities include workshops, keynote speakers, book signings, book fair, and a special author luncheon.  

Celebrate Authors will be held Thursday, April 3 - Saturday, April 5, at the Longview Public Library 222 W. Cotton Street. Most activities are free. However, the Friday Writer Workshop and Luncheon is a ticketed event at a cost of $20 per person. 

 

The festival will provide attendees with the opportunity to meet authors such as Cathy Luchetti, author of "Medicine Women," which served as the inspiration for "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman." David Hartwig will also be in attendance with his trained dogs and horse to discuss his book, "Skidboot: The Smartest Dog in the World." Other special guests include Mary Brooke Casad, author of the Bluebonnet the Armadillo Adventure series.

Welcome Party / Meet & Greet (Doors open at 6:30 PM)
Come meet the authors and get motivated to tell your story. The world is waiting...

 

Friday, April 4, 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM: (Doors open at 9:30 AM)

Authors will be available at tents and tables outside (weather permitting) for book signings throughout the day. (Free!)

2:30 PM - Self-Publishing with Donald Burton
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM Presentation "Women in the American West" by Cathy Luchetti
