Search warrant leads to drug distribution arrest in Nacogdoches County

NACOGDOCHES CO. (KYTX) - On Wednesday April 9, 2014 the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office executed a search warrant on Cr. 522 that resulted in the arrest of a Nacogdoches man.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that the Sheriff Office has had an ongoing investigation on Scott McNeely for the distribution of narcotics.

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office conducted an undercover purchase of methamphetamine from McNeely on Cr. 522. The sheriff office obtained a search warrant for the residence due to having probable cause.

Sheriff investigators found McNeely at his residence Wednesday afternoon upon the execution of the search warrant. A search of the residence was conducted and 21 grams of crystal methamphetamine was found inside of the residence. Also confiscated was a firearm, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.

McNeely is a convicted felon and not allowed to be in possession of firearms.

Scott McNeely 42 years of age was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail. McNeely was charged with Manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance a 1st felony, Unlawful possession of a firearm by a felony a 3rd felony and delivery of a controlled substance a 2nd felony. Bond was set at $125,000.00 dollars.
