Commerce Police searching for suspect accused of attempting child abduction

COMMERCE (KYTX)  — Teen reports being approached by a man that attempted to coerce her into a vehicle.

The attempted abduction occurred on Saturday, April 19 around 9:00 p.m.  According to the 15 year old girl, she was walking in the area of Monroe and Lee Street when a vehicle stopped in front of her. 

The passenger of the white vehicle approached her and attempted to coerce her into getting in the vehicle.  The vehicle is described as an older white boxy Utility Vehicle (SUV) shape with a loud motor and was occupied by at least 3 persons.  The vehicle had loud music emitting from it at the time of the incident. 

The suspect that approached the teen is described as being about 5’6” and a young male in his 20’s with dark eyes, a thin mustache and a goatee wearing dark clothing.
