Texas Loses Supreme Court Case Centered on Cross-Border Air Pollution

Posted: Updated:
(KCEN) --  Texas loses in a Supreme Court case focused on cross-border air pollution.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Environmental Protection Agency's Clean Air Act.

The law is designed to curb air pollution from coal-fired power plants in texas and 27 other states.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott called the rule a constitutional violation.

But the Supreme Court decided against his argument, ruling that states are now responsible for any air pollution that crosses state borders.
