Kilgore man accused of taking cell phone pictures in Walmart bathroom

KILGORE, TX (KYTX) – On Thursday, April 24, 2014 the Kilgore Police Department received a report of improper photography occurring on April 22, 2014 in a men’s restroom located in the Walmart Super Center, located at 1201 Stone St. Kilgore, Texas.

The adult victim reported, while using a bathroom stall, noticing another male subject holding a cellular telephone underneath the partition. From these actions the victim believed the subject was taking photographs. Upon seeing this activity, the victim chased the male subject from the bathroom in an attempt to capture him but was unsuccessful.

The case report was assigned to Kilgore Police Detective Tim Dukes. The initial investigation revealed the identity of the male subject to be Devin Rhett Butler, 27 years of age, of Kilgore, Texas. After interviews with witnesses and reviews of other evidence, it was determined Devin Butler had been taking photographs of the victim using a cellular telephone.

On April 30, 2014 an arrest/search warrant was issued and Mr. Butler was arrested for Improper Photography State Jail Felony.
