Updated:

TYLER (TYLER MORNING TELEGRAPH)- Christopher Shane Wiley, 39, of Tyler, was found guilty of murder by a Smith County jury today.

Jurors will return to Judge Jack Skeen Jr.’s court Friday morning for the punishment phase of the trial. Wiley could face up to life in prison.

Wiley was convicted of killing his partner, 52-year-old Ronald Walker in July 2013.

Both cases presented witnesses who told jurors the two men had a violent relationship that lasted more than 10 years and often ended with one or the other being beaten during arguments.
