UPDATE: Longview Police investigate early morning shooting at Tree House Apartments

Posted: Updated:
KYTX (LONGVIEW) - Longview police say at around 2 this morning, a teenage girl was sitting in a car parked in this parking spot, when someone shot at her.  Neighbor Katrina Moody lives at Tree House Apartments where the shooting happened, and she typically parks close to where the shots shattered this car window. She's glad the bullets missed her car.
"When I first heard it, I wasn't sure what it was. But when I walked out this morning - all I could see was glass all around my car." Katrina Moody, Neighbor
She says the arguing came from this parking lot. After parking, she walked a few minutes to get to her  apartment. She could still hear the man and girl arguing. .
"It was pretty loud, I live over there and it sounded like it was right outside of my window."
Longview Police Officer Kristie Brian says since the girl is a juvenile, many details are classified, meant to protect her privacy. She says teens and children who find themselves with someone involved in bad habits shouldn't be afraid to talk with an officer about it.
"That's why we are here. We are here to help, especially school resource officers." - Kristie Brian, Longview Police Department
Moody says she has lived at Tree House Apartments for almost a year, and this is the first time anything like this has happened. She says she won't let any of the 3 children she lives with, out of her sight.
"I don't let them out of the house by themselves, when I do, I watch them from the window."
The girl has been released from the hospital.
