Williams Reelected for Longview City Council District 3

LONGVIEW (KYTX)- Unofficial election results for the City of Longview show Kasha Williams as winner of the race for Longview City Council District 3.

Williams defeated Donald Webb and G. Floyd by receiving 93.12% of the vote. Williams has served as District 3 Longview City Councilwoman since 2011.

Additionally, Kristen Ishihara ran unopposed for Longview City Council District 4 and was previously declared elected. The District 4 race did not appear on the ballot. Ishihara will replace outgoing District 4 Councilman Wayne Frost, who had served since 2005. Longview City Council members are term-limited to serving three three-year terms.

Election results will become official upon canvassing at the Special Called Longview City Council meeting at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 19, 2014. Williams and Ishihara will be sworn into office during the regular City Council meeting at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 22.

Unofficial results are as follows:

City Council District 3 (Southeast Longview)

Donald Webb: 18 votes with 3.87%

Kasha Williams: 433 votes with 93.12%

G. Floyd: 14 votes with 3.01%
