Update: Storms Leave Thousands Without Power in ETX

(KYTX) -- UPDATE: Thousands of East Texans are still without power today after storms last night knocked down trees and power lines.

As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oncor's website indicated more than 3,000 customers are without electricity, the majority of those customers are in Cherokee County.
Outages are still reported in Smith, Angelina, Nacogdoches, Henderson, and Houston counties.

Swepco reported more than 2,300 customers are without power in their service area in East Texas.
Gregg County: 2,361
Rusk: 727

Crews have been are working throughout the day to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
