Wisconsin mother and daughter killed in Lufkin traffic accident

UPDATE: LUFKIN (KYTX) - At around 11.am. Tuesday, Lufkin Police responded to a major accident at the intersection of Hwy 59 and College Street.

Police Sgt. David Walker said witnesses told officers at the scene, a car crashed into the back of an 18-wheeler which had stopped for a red light.

Pronounced dead at the scene were 19-year-old Katrina Holloway and her mother 52-year-old Susan Holloway, both of Glendale, Wisconsin.

The car was traveling at least the speed limit of 55 mph when it struck the rear of the semi, killing both occupants. Sgt. Walker said there were no indications the driver of the vehicle braked or slowed down when approaching the intersection and striking the semi.
