Run for the Wall Drives Through Longview

Posted: Updated:
LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Hundreds of motorcycles made their way through East Texas this afternoon.

Run for the Wall is a cross country motorcycle ride that begins in California and will end in Washington D.C. The ride is to raise awareness for soldiers that have gone missing in action or that have died. The bikers stopped in Longview for a pit stop.   Rider Judy Wormmeester  says she is riding for her brother who was shot down in Vietnam. He still hasn't been found.

"I can't believe these guys have been riding for my brother for over 25 years, and keeping his memory alive. He's not forgotten." - Sister of M.I.A. Soldier  Judy Wormmeester

"I fought for my country and I love my country. It's my life, it's what I stand for. It's my life. " - Tommie Whitaker, Veteran

The ride will end in Washington D.C. Where a rally will be held in front of the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial.
