Marshall man suffers gunshot wound, brother in custody

MARSHALL (KYTX) - On Sunday, June 01, 2014, at approximately 4:23 p.m., Marshall Police officers responded to 1606 Hynson St. in reference to a disturbance and gun fire.

While en route to this location, officers received information that a gunshot victim was at Squeaky Clean Express at 1405 United Flight Ninety.

Upon arriving at Squeaky Clean Express, officers located a gunshot victim, later identified as 59-year-old Bobby Fred Williams.

Williams suffered a single gunshot wound to the back and was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall for treatment. The gunshot wound is believed to be non-life threatening.

The victim informed officers that he was shot by his brother, 60-year-old Charles Williams, during an argument at 1606 Hyson St.

The officers that responded to 1606 Hyson St. located Charles Williams in the area and took him into custody. Charles Williams was charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and transported to the Harrison County Jail where he was released into their custody.
