Man turns himself in after allegedly firing shots at Taco Bell in Tyler

UPDATE:  Guillermo Flores Jr. turned himself in to the Tyler Police Department at 5 on Friday.  

He was arrested on the outstanding Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon warrant and transported to the Smith County Jail


(FROM TYLER POLICE DEPARTMENT) -  Tyler Police are looking for a man, suspected in a late night shooting.  

Around 11:30 Wednesday night, 
Tyler Police Dispatch received a call in reference to shots being fired at the Taco Bell located at 7425 South Broadway. Witnesses stated that a male, later identified as Guillermo Flores Jr., fired several rounds from a pistol toward Joseph Gilliam. Once officers arrived on scene, it was discovered that both Flores and Gilliam were involved in a verbal altercation. The altercation then led to shots being fired. No one was injured during the shooting.

Guillermo Flores Jr. left prior to the officers arrival. Once the initial investigation took place, a detective with the Crimes Against Person Unit was called to the scene to complete an arrest warrant on Guillermo Flores. The warrant was for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Judge Kennedy issued the warrant and set a $250,000 bond.
      
    
Anyone with information about the suspect whereabouts in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF(903-597-2833).  Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
