Man accused of punching, trying to choke woman

LONGVIEW (KYTX) - An emergency protective order was filed on one Longview man accused of punching and trying to choke the mother of his 8-month-old daughter.
28-year-old Nicholas Patillo-Finch was released from the Gregg County Jail today on $5,000 bond.
Police say he kicked the victim in her stomach, punched her in the face, then wrapped his right hand around her neck and impeded her breathing for several seconds, after she asked for a copy of their baby's social security card. The assault allegedly occurred at Finch's home in the 3400 block of Bill Owens Parkway.
He faces a third-degree felony charge punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
