Posted: Updated:
LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Police fill the streets on the 300 block of Thelma Street in Longview today.

According to family members we spoke to on site, the victims are 38-year-old Chanda Martin and 36-year-old Kim Rayson of Longview. The suspect, identified by Martins' surviving family members as her ex-husband, 29-year-old Isaiah Roberts, of Tyler, was chased from the home in Longview into Smith County by Police, Sheriff's Deputies, and Texas DPS. He was caught in Smith County where he is being held.

Martin was pronounced dead on scene, and Rayson was sent to Good Shepherd Medical Center where she was pronounced dead, according to Gregg County Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Arthur Fort. A third victim, Bridges' current boyfriend escaped through a window.

Update Information from Tyler Police:

According to the Tyler Police Department, after the shooting Roberts was traveling south on Highway 271 trying evade law enforcement. As the suspect approached the intersection of Palace Avenue and Gentry Parkway in Tyler, he caused a major accident with 4 vehicles. Upon further investigation of the crash it was later determined that the crash occurred prior to the police pursuit entering the crash scene.

Tyler Police Department will be requesting the Smith County District Attorney’s office to dismiss the five counts of accident causing injury against Isaiah Roberts.

The suspect continued onto Loop 323 where he turned east onto Front Street and then on Glenwood Boulevard. Roberts stopped his vehicle at the intersection of Glenwood and Hill and was taken into custody by Longview Police. According to Longview Police, Officers saw two firearms in Roberts' vehicle. He has been booked into the Smith County Jail on 5 counts of causing an accident with serious injury, 3rd degree felonies.

Detectives from Longview are currently obtaining arrest warrants related to the shooting in Longview.

Kenneth Hays, who lives across the street from Martins' home where the shooting took place, tells CBS 19  he was inside his home this morning when he heard a gunshot and went outside to see what happened. He says he saw the suspect shoot a woman while staring at Hays, as Hays was on the phone with emergency responders. The suspect then went inside the home, and Hays heard more gunshots and glass breaking before another man escaped the house through a window, Hays says. That's when the suspect exited the house, jumped into a black Dodge pickup and sped away.

Longview Police have not released names of the victims and it would not confirm statements from witnesses or family members.
