UPDATE: Two Men Confess After Pretending To Be Cops

Posted: Updated:

UPDATE: June 17, 2014

(KCEN) -- Two men have confessed to pretending to be cops in San Saba County and pulling people over.

At first police thought it was just one man impersonating an officer, but after Monday's story, two men came forward and confessed.

When asked why, they said they were just having fun.

A similar incident happened on County Road 406 in Hamilton County on Saturday where the victim was knocked unconscious.

Police do not believe the two men in custody are related to that incident.

So they are asking drivers to still be vigilant in that area.

(KCEN) -- Officers are warning drivers of a fake cop making his way around Central Texas.

San Saba County and Hamilton County Sheriffs have both received calls about a man pulling cars over on a local highway.

The most recent incident happened on County Rd. 406 in San Saba County on Saturday when a victim was knocked out.

Money was taken from that victim.

The suspect is described as a white man with blue eyes in his early 20's. His height is 5'9 and weighs about 175 pounds with a thin beard.

He was last seen wearing a baseball cap with the word 'Police' on it.

He has identified himself as Officer Watson to victims.

The suspect drives an older model Crown Victoria with a blue and red light bar in the windshield.
