Police Investigate Attempted Aggravated Kidnapping

Posted: Updated:
(KCEN) -- Georgetown police are investigating an attempted aggravated kidnapping that occurred Friday night shortly after 9 p.m.

Police responded to a call from a 12-year-old boy in the area of 900 N. Austin Ave. in Georgetown, TX. The boy said he had been confronted by a Hispanic man who got out of a red SUV he had been driving and told the boy to get in the car. The boy told police he believed the man had been holding a knife.

The boy ran to a nearby business and told an employee what had happened.

That's when the driver got back into his vehicle and left the scene heading north on Austin Ave.

Officials say the red SUV also has a Dallas Cowboys sticker on the rear bumper. There was also a white female with blond hair and wearing a pink shirt in the vehicle.

The boy told officials he thought the last digit on the license plate was the letter U.

The suspect is approximately 30-years-old, 5'9", and weighs 130 pounds. Officials also describe the suspect as having very short, dark hair. He was wearing a camo pullover and tan pants.

If you have any information regarding this incident, the Georgetown Police Dept. is asking you call Det. Bill Pascoe at (512) 930-8407 or email bill.pascoe@georgetown.org.
