(CBS)- Military veterans who have suffered a traumatic brain injury may be at higher risk for developing dementia later in life. A study in the Journal Neurology followed nearly 200 thousand veterans. Those who had suffered a traumatic brain injury were 60 percent more likely to develop dementia and to develop it about two years earlier than other veterans.
(CBS)- New research shows the dangers of being a couch potato. A study in the Journal of the American Heart Association says adults who watch TV for three hours or more each day may double their risk of premature death. Researchers say adults should limit TV watching to one or two hours a day and consider increasing their physical activity.
