Three hospitalized after Longview sanitation truck rear-ended

 LONGVIEW (KYTX) - Three people were hospitalized, including two with life-threatening injuries, after a two-vehicle wreck involving a City of Longview sanitation truck moments after 3 this afternoon.

According to police and fire departments, a gray passenger vehicle rear-ended the sanitation truck, injuring two workers who were on the back of the truck. It happened in the 1800 block of Alpine Street, near Wilellen Street. Both men were taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center, along with the driver of the passenger car. The driver of the sanitation truck was not hurt.

Names of the victims have not been released. The wreck remains under investigation.
