(CNN)- Chrysler is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles due to an ignition switch problem. It's similar to the one that forced General Motors to recall 2.6 million vehicles worldwide. The recall affects more than half a million vehicles in the U.S. It includes some Dodge Journey SUV's, Dodge Grand Caravans and Chrysler Town and Country Minivans made from 2007 to 2009. The company says jarring road conditions such as hitting a pothole may cause the vehicle's key to slip out of the "run" position. Chrysler says it does not know about any injuries related to the recall issue.
(CNN)- Gas prices for the Fourth of July travel are the most expensive in six years. According to Triple-A, prices are coming down, but they are still about 20 cents higher than last year. In East Texas, gas prices are about $3.42 a gallon for unleaded. Triple-A predicts most people will not change their travel plans, but they might cut back on other things while on vacation like shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
