EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Good morning!
An unseasonable July cold front will continue to drop slowly through East Texas today, triggering widely scattered showers/thunderstorms (30%), mainly this afternoon/evening. Spotty showers along the Red River this morning will drop across our northern counties near I-30 through your morning commute. As the front drops near Hwy 31 by late afternoon, more widely scattered showers and t-storms will form across the area.
Highs today, due to compressional heating ahead of the front, will reach 93-95. Lows tonight dip to 73. 40% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow with highs close to 90. Only a slight chance of isolated t-storms for July 4th.
Have a great day!
