Belton Teen Dead After Accident on I-35

 (KCEN) -- A teenager from Belton is dead after an accident on I-35 in Temple on Tuesday.

At 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Temple Police responded to an accident in the 4000 block of South Interstate 35.

An initial investigation showed that a Mazda pickup truck struck a Nissan SUV while attempting to change lanes. 

The collision caused the pickup truck to lose control and spin.

The driver's side of the truck crashed into the back of a semi that was disabled on the highway.

The driver of the pickup truck was identified as 19-year-old Victor Tabullo of Belton.

He was not wearing his seatbelt and sustained serious life-threatening injuries.

He was transported to Scott and White Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

No one else was injured in the accident.

The investigation is ongoing at this time.
