UPDATE: GREGG CO. (KYTX)- Ashley Harrell, 27, of Longview was arrested in Sabine Parish, LA and will be transferred to Gregg County Jail this week.

Her daughter, Maddison Harrell, was safety located in Arkansas.

A civil procedure will take place there to determine custody of the child.

MANY, La. (KYTX) - Ashley Elizabeth Harrell, 27, of Longview, has been arrested in Many, La., on a Gregg County warrant for interfering in a child custody dispute, but authorities haven't located Harrell's four-year-old daughter.

According to online reports, Harrell was taken into the Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office late Friday. No bond has been issued until she is transported to the Gregg County Jail.

Gregg County 307th District Judge Tim Womack signed an arrest warrant Thursday for Harrell's arrest on a felony charge, after investigators said they believe Harrell ran off with her 4-year-old daughter, Maddison McKay Harrell. In a hearing June 26, Womack signed an order granting temporary custody of Maddison to Turnertown couple Clifton and Candi Dawson, who say they are child's grandparents.

Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office referred questions about Harrell's arrest to Chief Deputy John Adair, who was not available for comment tonight.

Candi Dawson says she hasn't seen the child in more than a month, but she believes law enforcement knows her whereabouts and will soon find her.

Maddison Harrell is 3’2” tall, about 40 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about the location of Maddison Harrell are asked to contact Lieutenant Haddix at (903) 236-8411 or Crime Stoppers at (903) 236-STOP.
