(CBS)- Researchers in Minnesota have identified a new protein in the brains of Alzheimer's patients. The substance is known as TDP43. For the very first time there is evidence that when a human has TDP43 protein, they are ten times more likely to have memory problems. Doctors presented their findings at the Alzheimer's Association International Conference in Copenhagen. Previous research has identified two other proteins linked to Alzheimer's disease.
(CBS)- American children are getting the message when it comes to fruits and vegetables. A new government survey shows that in 2009 and 2010 more than three quarters of children ages 2-19 ate fruit on a given day and 90 percent ate vegetables. The study also found that children eat fewer fruits and vegetables as they get older.
