Web Exclusive: Money to be made in disappearing pictures; Snapchat valued at billions

Posted: Updated:

(CNN) - Investors are betting there's a lot of money to be made in disappearing photos.  The Wall Street Journal reports investors are valuing social media app "Snapchat" at about $10 billion dollars.  The disappearing-message app is not yet profitable.  But the WSJ reports venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins has invested twenty million dollars in the company.  That follows an investment earlier this year from Russian firm DST global, which valued Snapchat at $7 billion dollars.  Snapchat is rumored to have turned down a three-billion-dollar buy-out offer from facebook.  Investors have are attracted to Snapchat's popularity, particularly among young people.  Its CEO says Snapchat's core audience is between 18 and 25 years of age, a demographic advertisers love.

Like Taco Bell?  Then you're going to love this promotion, the chance to win free food for life!  The contest is called "Eleven Everlasting Dollars" contest. The fast food chain says it will release eleven altered dollar bills in eleven U.S. cities.  Each winning bill will have a special serial number.  If you find it and claim your prize, Taco Bell promises a "lifetime" of free food.  Fans can track where bills might be found on the taco bell website.  USA Today reports the odds of finding one of the winning bills are about one in 2.4 billion.

How about the odds of winning survivor?  There's a new batch of 18 castaways ready to compete in the 29th season.  Former major league pitcher John Rocker is among the castaways competing in Survivor: San Juan del Sur: Blood versus Water."  Rocker became infamous back in 1999 for some controversial remarks.  Other familiar faces are twin sisters, Nadiya and Natalie Anderson, who competed two seasons on the amazing race.  The new survivor kicks off right here on CBS 19 September 24th.

A Full House revival looks to be in the works.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers television is in the early stages of reviving the hit show.  Several old familiar friends are already on board, including Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, and Andrea Barber.  No word yet on either of the Olsen twins' involvement.
