EAST TEXAS (KYTX) - Good morning!
On this Tuesday, our eyes are on two weather systems. The first, Tropical Storm Dolly, churning west-northwest through the Bay of Campeche and headed toward the coast of Mexico over the next 24 hours. Moisture associated with Dolly will surge up into the southern counties of East Texas today, providing us with a 20% chance of scattered afternoon/evening thunderstorms.
To our north, a weak cool front will send scattered showers/thunderstorms south toward the Red River valley by late morning. These weakening thunderstorms will provide our northern counties with a chance of scattered showers/thunderstorms around lunch time today. Otherwise, expect muggy, hot weather as highs climb into the mid-90's today.
Dry tomorrow - and hot - with highs once again near 95. Have a great Tuesday!
