Scott Fossey - Morning Weather Anchor

Scott has been sharing weather forecasts with East Texans since 1992. He grew up in "tornado alley" - on a farm near Wichita, Kansas. Fossey "lived" severe weather in Kansas, having the opportunity to get involved in weather as a storm chaser for KFDI AM/FM radio in the 1980's. He has a degree in Communications from Harding University, MBA from LeTourneau University, and extensive training in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State University. Fossey worked as an intern/weekend reporter at KARK-TV (NBC) in Little Rock, Arkansas then went on to become Illinois Bureau Chief for the news department at WTHI-TV (CBS) in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Fossey became more involved in on-air weather forecasting during his stint in Terre Haute.  In 1992, he came to Tyler where he spent nine years as the morning weatherman for the local ABC affiliate.  He returned to Tyler television on CBS-19's morning show in 2006.  In addition to his work in the media, Fossey has worked in the field of non-profit development in East Texas since 2001.  He currently serves as Director of Leadership Giving at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital.

Scott is married to his wife, Anita.  They have three children - daughter, Erica, and sons Devon and Daniel
