Anthony Austin-Reporter/Anchor
I'm glad to be home! I was born and raised in Whitehouse. After graduating from Whitehouse High School (Go Wildcats!), I headed up north to attend the University of North Texas where I earned my bachelors in Broadcast Journalism.
At North Texas, I was heavily involved in the local cable station, NTTV. I was an anchor and reporter for four years and became the news director my senior year of college. While at NTTV I covered everything from community issues to the Barack Obama rally. I interned at WFAA in Dallas where I learned valuable lessons from some of the most respected reporters in the business. In 2008, I was honored as "Outstanding Student in Broadcast News."
When I'm not covering the latest news, I'm a huge car enthusiast and a fan of college sports and all types of music. I attend the North Tenneha Church of Christ where I've been since birth. I love to hear from you and what's on your mind. If you see me out and about, don't hesitate to say hello.
Feel free to drop me a line at aaustin@cbs19.tv.
