UPDATE: Tyler police asking for help identifying woman struck by 18-wheeler

TYLER - UPDATE: Tyler Police are asking for help trying to identify the woman injured in the Monday morning accident on Hwy 69 north of Loop 323. 

The woman is in critical condition at ETMC in Tyler and police have not yet been able to identify her.

According to Don Martin, Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer, the woman is believed to be 30 to 40 years old with light brown short hair and medium build. She has several tattoos, and police have released photos of two in hopes someone may know her.

Authorities are on scene of an accident involving a pedestrian and an 18-wheeler that happened on Highway 69 just north of Loop 323.

According to Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer Don Martin, a woman walking against traffic on the northbound shoulder of Hwy 69 was struck by an 18-wheeler.

She was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Details are still limited at this time while police investigate the incident. Traffic is down to one lane on the northbound side, so expect delays.
