Man warns others about possible glitch on Toll 49

An East Texas man said he received a toll bill from October, but that's not even he bad part. He said he should have never gotten it in the first place.

A Lindale man received a toll bill from October in the mail, and claims he never should have gotten it in the first place.

Thomas Duncan got the bill this week from the North East Texas Regional Mobility Authority (NET RMA).

"I shouldn't be getting any sort of bills. It's all electronic," Duncan said.

The bill is for Oct. 31, 2017 from Toll 49.

He showed CBS19 the bill, and it states:

"You could have saved $3.63 with a tag."

However, Duncan already has a tag.

NET RMA spokesperson Colleen Colby said she has not found any issues with the tolls on the dates Duncan was billed. She is looking into the possibility of a glitch in the system.

"I just want an apology. They just need to say, 'Sir, I'm sorry'," Duncan said.

If you feel like you have been charged incorrectly, you should contact NET RMA's billing service at (888) 932-2808.
