I joined CBS 19 as a Multimedia Journalist in August 2014. I grew up in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. In 2013, I received my Master of Arts degree in Journalism from DePaul University. I earned a Bachelor of Arts from Susquehanna University.

Previously, I was a reporter and anchor for “Good Day DePaul” at DePaul University in Chicago. In addition, I worked as a Digital Journalist for the historic Chicago-based African-American newspaper the Chicago Defender. There I was awarded the Abbott-Sengstacke Legacy Scholarship.

During my stay in the windy city, I was a National Association of Black Journalists Chicago Chapter award recipient for my proposal on convergence and the current state of the newsroom.

I also worked as a Multimedia Journalist for The Red Line Project an online multi-platform publication. I produced stories for the web, while also shooting video. I was awarded the Society of Professional Journalists Mark Of Excellence Award for Online News Coverage during the 2012 Presidential election.

Last, I was a foreign correspondent for a non-profit publication called the Fresh Outlook Online Newspaper based in Cardiff, England. I also studied abroad in Tokyo. If you have any story ideas, feel free to email me at rmoye@tegna.com. You can also follow me on Twitter at @RyanKYTX.
