Together, we can help those impacted by the winter storm

UPDATE: Thanks to everyone who donated.  This drive has now ended.

After the winter storm, many Texans are still struggling with critical needs like food, water and shelter. Others need immediate financial assistance with repairs to their home, rent or paying utility bills. Through this fundraising opportunity you will join United Way in making an impact and supporting Texans in need. On Monday, March 1, the TEGNA stations in Texas WFAA, KHOU, KENS, KVUE, KCEN, KAGS, KYTX, KIII, KBMT, KJAC, KWES, KXVA and KIDY will join forces for Texas Cares: Winter Storm Relief, a statewide relief effort for those affected by the severe freeze.

Make A Difference

Your support will go a long way in helping communities hardest hit by this disaster.

How Your Gift Will Change Lives

Donations received through the Texas Cares: Winter Storm Relief campaign will be distributed to the network of United Ways throughout the state. Local stations will work with local United Ways to ensure that the funds raised help communities recover after the weather crisis. All donations made will remain in the respective community of the donor.

TEGNA is committed to serving the greater good in our communities during this crisis. To kick off this day of giving, the TEGNA Foundation is donating $100,000 to the Statewide United Way Winter Weather Recovery Fund.

“This winter storm has impacted so many Texans in communities across the state, and this campaign is a way that we can pull together and really show how we are Texas United. It’s been inspiring to see Texans come together to show their support for those that are struggling, and we are grateful to TEGNA for creating this platform for Texans to help others in need. Every dollar counts in making a difference, so thank you in advance.”
