LONGVIEW, Texas — On Valentine's Day, people around the globe will be receiving cards due to a project that started in Longview.

The Cupid Project was created by Longview High School Sophomore, Matthew Guck.

"We give them out to like old folks, assisted living homes, people in hospitals, people who wouldn't normally get valentines," Guck said.

The project is asking the public to help make cards at the Trinity Outreach Center on Saturday, Feb. 8.

"Anyone can come to the community card making," Guck said. "It's at the Trinity Outreach Center. There's just going to be materials there and you can bring your own paper and stuff too."

The event is free to the public. You are welcomed to bring your own supplies as well.
