Non-traditional Valentine's Date Idea: Tyler Unleashed Rage Room hosting 'I Hate Valentine's Day' event

Make sure you book your appointment as spots are filling up fast!

TYLER, Texas — Valentine's Day is right around the corner and many may be planning a traditional dinner date, but Unleashed Rage Room in Tyler is providing another option.

The venue is hosting an 'I hate Valentine's Day' event on Friday, Feb.14.

"My mother in law actually, she is sick of Valentine's Day," Mays, owner of the Unleashed Rage Room said. "She hates it. Flowers Candy the whole gips of it. Me and my wife don't celebrate every year. It's just something fun cause it's all lovey-dovey that day, so why not give back to some of the people who don't like it."

The Unleashed Rage Room opened in the fall of 2019 and has allowed people to smash objects with bats and golf clubs.

"When you're in the room there's actually no rules," Mays said. "Throwing, smashing, banging, anything you can do with a weapon or with your hands."

The 'I hate Valentine's Day' event is for couples, singles and anyone who wants to take a different approach on Valentine's Day.

The Unleashed Rage Room is by appointment only. The venue will be open from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Valentine's Day. It's located on 6252 Rhonesquarter Road in Tyler.

Costs start at $25.
