A dog brought in with an arrow in its back and shot with BBs has shown resilience and a forgiving spirit as he recovers.

Robin Hood, named by animal care staff and CBS19's Tristan Hardy, was found Oct. 12 with a crossbolt bow lodged in his back and riddled with bb pellets. He was rushed to surgery to care for his wounds.

Since then, he is making great strides in recovery at the Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center, and is almost ready for his fur-ever home.

Medical staff said he not only survived his injuries, but he hasn't stopped wagging his tail.

Longview Police are still looking for those responsible for Robin Hood's injuries. If you know Robin Hood's owner or have any information, you're asked to contact Longview Police or Gregg County Crime Stoppers.
