For those who may wake up on Thursday morning only to realize that they’ve overcooked their turkey, Sweet Sue’s Restaurant in Tyler would like them to know they have them covered.

The restaurant plans to cook and serve at least 25 turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Along with turkey, Thanksgiving staples, such as meatloaf, ham, pumpkin pie and more will be available at the restaurant. On its buffet line, patrons will also get a chance to try their cornbread dressing - a customer favorite.

Sweet Sue’s will be just one of several restaurants in Tyler open on Thanksgiving, allowing East Texans the chance to enjoy their meals without having to prepare a single thing themselves or clean any of it up.

“It gives you the opportunity for us to do all the work, ” said Aaron-Nicole Rodriguez, assistant manager at Sweet Sue’s.

She said the restaurant has been serving customers on Thanksgiving for many years, and preparations for the big day had already started on Tuesday.

“It’s a special atmosphere,” Ms. Rodriguez said. “They can expect to have a positive experience.”
