A 3-year-old girl slipped out of blowup water floats at an apartment complex pool on Sunday and nearly drowned.
Tyler police responded to the call around 8 p.m. Sunday at the Residences Apartments pool on Frankston Highway.
The child slipped out of her blowup water floats and sank to the bottom of the pool. A former military medic pulled the child from the pool and was able to start her breathing again through CPR until first responders arrived.
Don Martin, Tyler Police Department Public Information Officer stated:
This is the second incident in recent weeks where a small child has slipped out of blowup water floats and sank to the bottom of the water. We remind all adults who are supervising small children in the water to always keep an eye on them at all times.
