GREENVILLE (KYTX) - A man at Greenville Pawn shop is hospitalized after a gun a customer was handling discharged striking the victim in the head.
According to the Greenville Hearld Banner, officers responded to the Greenville Pawn Shop at 10:35 a.m. Saturday after receiving a call of an accidental shooting.
A customer was handed a pistol from the store's display case and was examining the gun when he touched the trigger,and the pistol discharged. The bullet struck 63-year-old David Michael Tilger of Point who was in a different area of the store.
Tilger was airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas where he listed in critical but stable condition.
Police say it appears the shooting was accidental, and no charges have been filed.
