“A lot of them you go to where their home was at and there’s just debris scattered everywhere you can’t even tell there was a house there,” Ann Henley with River Church said.

The Church is hoping to open doors of possibilities for those residents with mobile homes or roof repairs.

“Whether it’s a roof or those that have lost their home completely," Henley said. "There’s a possibility of replacing their home for them.”

Henley says she begins by reviewing applications and then evaluating the damages.

“We’re going out and looking at their homes and seeing the best way we can help them," Hensley said.

With the help of monetary donations from many across the U.S., the relief fund has delivered three mobile homes, restored six homes and repaired ten roofs so far. Recently, four families were approved for new housing.

“We’ll continue to help as long as we have the funds to do so,” Hensley said.

As of now, River church has received 50 applications from those needing assistance and continues to accept more. Requests can be received Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the River Church Administrative Office.
