LONGVIEW, Texas — Three people have been arrested following licensing checks at local massage parlors.

The Longview Police Department, led by the Gregg County CODE unit, organized a massage parlor license check with the assistance of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation and the Longview Fire Marshal's Office, after receiving numerous complaints about massage parlors inside the city limits.

On Thursday, an organized team of officers and employees from the respective organizations verified these locations which included:

  • Far East Massage - 3308 Gilmer Road
  • Sakora Spa - 2010 Gilmer Road #100
  • Foot Relax - 1809 West Loop 281 #107
  • Relax Foot Spa - 102 Commander Drive #3
  • La Belle - 414 East Loop 281 #12
  • A Wonderful Massage - 414 West Loop 281 #10

At each location, officers identified the employees and asked if they were licensed as massage therapists. They also determined if the business had the appropriate license to operate as a massage parlor. The TDLR will open additional investigations into several of the locations due to record keeping. The information was forwarded to the City of Longview’s Developmental Services for consideration on removing the certificate of occupancy from several of the locations.

The Longview Police Department arrested:

  • Hong Wei, 53, of Longview - A Wonderful Massage
  • Yan Pan, 27, of Longview - Foot Relax
  • Huajon Liu - Foot Relax

The suspects were charged with operating a massage parlor/business without a license, which is a violation of Chapter 455 of the Occupation Code.
