UPSHUR COUNTY, Texas — A Upshur County drug dealer was sentenced to 70 years in prison and a 10,000 fine.

According to the Upshur County District Attorney's Office, an informant working with the Gilmer Police Department agreed to buy an 8-ball, or about about 3.5  grams of methamphetamine, from Shaun Weeks, who is currently awaiting trial in federal court.

Inside the home, the informant found Suzanne Johnston, 51, smoking meth. Johnson used a digital scale to measure the amount of methamphetamine and assisted with the sale of delivery of the meth.

The informant asked for more. Weeks said he would not be able to sell any more but said that Johnston did. When the informant contacted her, Johnston told the informant she would be glad to sell more.

Evidence presented to the jury at Johnston's trial showed she had sold meth on numerous occasions and made several deliveries.
